I arrived in Vancouver on Thursday full of excitement and anticipation about the 3 days of shooting that I was about to embark upon. The festivities began with the application of mehndi at Hanif's grandparents. While the guys were out at Hanif's bachelor party the lady's were having henna applied as a temporary form of skin decoration. Intended to be a symbolic representation of the outer and inner sun, mehndi "awakens the inner light".
