Dutch is a rescue puppy available for adoption through Underdogs Rescue. He is currently being fostered in Marda Loop and enjoys playing with his foster brother Luke. Any interested families or individuals should contact Underdogs Rescue!

Luke

I've had the opportunity to meet Luke a few times now while photographing other dogs that his owners are fostering. He is extremely friendly and gentle and his blue brindle and high white socks make him quite the sight!

Western Canadian Weight Pulling Championship

I had the privilege of photographing the Western Canadian Weight Pulling Championships yesterday for Underdogs Rescue. I'd never been to a weight pull event but I learned two things very quickly:

1. Dogs love pulling things
2. Huskies really really love pulling things

Grayson- Adoptable Puppy

Meet Grayson an adoptable 11 month old puppy. Grayson is a tri-coloured pitbull up for adoption through Underdogs Rescue.

Maddy the Adoptable Pit-Boxer Mix

Maddy was surrendered after she was hit by a car and her owner was unwilling to pay for the surgery to fix her broken femur. She's great with dogs and people and I don't think she even barks. Any interested parties can contact Underdogs Rescue.

Underdogs Rescue Fundraiser: The People!

I think a really neat thing to catch on camera is the interplay between dogs and their owners. As part of the photo marathon I did for Underdogs, I gave dog owners the opportunity to hop in some of the shots. Normally we all take photos of our dogs from up above on our iphones so I thought this might be something owners appreciated. It was neat to see the relationships between dog and owner and it made for some great shots.

Last weekend I did a photo shoot marathon for Underdogs Rescue which is an Alberta based rescue focussed on the rehabilitation and re-homing of large dog breeds. I've always had a soft spot for any sort of power breed so I jumped at the opportunity when they asked me. We had a beautiful fall day on Prince's Island in downtown Calgary.
