Whether it was a wedding in Central Park, an impromptu break dance and acrobatics show or an artist sketching a statue in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the people of New York were really something to behold. They all seemed to think and act so differently while at the same time being part of the whole.
The sights of New York are on a different scale from everywhere else. Shots below are taken from the Statue of Liberty cruise, inside the New York Library, in Grand Central Station, in the Museum of Modern Art and on the streets.
One of the things I was most excited about before going to New York was getting the chance to take long exposure night shots around the city... Unfortunately I was quickly told that tripods were not allowed to be set up basically anywhere within the city (an unfortunate by-product of 9/11). This presented a challenge but I was able to get around it by putting my camera on tables, garbage cans or even the ground and it made for some interesting vantage points.
