Weekly Barn Visit

Jacquie's riding lessons offer an amazing opportunity to learn my new camera, test out its low light functions, and work on composition- all while enjoying the progress she is making with the horses. As the days grow longer I'm able to spend more time outside to catch the sunset bringing out the gorgeous colors from each horses coat.

Tiger

The Calgary Zoo is home to many Siberian and Bengal tigers. When I was new to Calgary and trying to get a better look at a tiger up close, I wandered around the back of the enclosures and came face to face with a 700 lb male in his cage waiting for feeding time. There is nothing that makes you feel quite so insignificant as looking one of these giant cats in the eyes from close proximity.
